Old Brown Java is an indonesian coffee that has been aged for 6 years. The aging process dates back to the 16th century when ships carried spices, tea and coffee to Europe.
The ageing process has turned the raw coffee beans from green to brown, hence the name, “Old Brown Java”. The result of the ageing process has made the coffee very strong and rich. It is heavy-bodied with a musty tobacco aroma. It has a dry, earthy and spicy notes with a smoky and sweet finish. This is to be savoured like a good wine. A must have for coffee connoisseurs!
It is so strong and rich that this is an ideal drink as an espresso. To temper the intensity, make it into a latte or cappuccino.
This is roasted Dark.
